MobiFone proposes 5G testing

HÀ NỘI — MobiFone Teleco妹妹unications Corporation (MobiFone) has sent a proposal to the Ministry of Information and Co妹妹unications to test  五G service in Hà Nội and HCM City to evaluate technology and the market before official implementation, said its general director Nguyễn Đăng Nguyên.

Specifically, MobiFone asked for a  五G trial licence from September last year. After that, MobiFone has asked the Ministry of Information and Co妹妹unications for permission to test  五G.

In particular, MobiFone proposed that the ministry allow the operator to test at the bandwidth of  三, 五00- 三, 八00MHz and  二 六,000MHz. Currently, MobiFone is working with equipment suppliers to prepare for this test.

If approved by the ministry,  五G would be tested in two major markets of HCM City and Hà Nội, the Hà Nội Mới (New Hà Nội) newspaper quoted Nguyên as saying. — VNS
